Dubai gets new luxury private jet service

( Gulf ) - Grand Aviation Kuwait and Dubai-based Executive Aviation Group joined forces to create Grand Aviation Dubai, a luxury private jet service.

With a capital of Dh100 million, it is aimed at a fast-growing market in Dubai. Abdullah Atatreh, vice-chairman of Executives Aviation Group, said, "One of the most important sectors is aviation. We are trying to make our company support this sector. The sector has seen general growth of 20 per cent. The private jets sector,has grown at 50 per cent."

The success of private jets revolves around efficiency, high comfort, privacy and maximum security.

Sami Al Badr of Grand Aviation Kuwait said, "There has been an increase in the number of private jets and a lot of demand internationally. This encouraged us to be one of the operators in the region."

Hussain Al Asousi, deputy chairman and managing director of Grand Aviation Kuwait, said, "We will have two private jets - medium-range and long-range. The long-range jet can travel as far as Europe and London, and [after refuelling] on to North America and even Korea and Malaysia.

"The medium-range jet will service the Gulf, Middle East, Turkey, Algeria and India.

The operators hope to increase the number of aircraft in the future to six, according to market needs.
