Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 January / Trend corr S. Babayeva / In 2007, the exchanges of Azerbaijan held 530 auctions during which currency reserves, securities, real estate and technical products were sold in the total sum of AZN 54mln.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, the volume of exchange turnover increased 2.2 times compared to 2006.
The Baku Inter-bank Currency Exchange (BICE) and the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) were very active in 2007. Turnover decreased by 9% on the BICE and increased 3.6 times on the BSE compared to 2006.
