I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijani Tariff Council is prepared to include the changes in tariffs of public utilities after the increase of quality of services to the agenda, Heydar Babayev, the Minister of Economic Development and head of the Council, stated during the pres-conference.
According to Babayev, an appeal on increase of public utilities was submitted to the Tariff Council.
"We are concerned with the current state of public utilities in the country. We are planning to increase the quality of rendered services in public utilities, and then shall consider change in the tariffs," Babayev stated.
The Ministry developed measures to reform the public utilities. Before, their implementation was planned within the framework of the separate program; the Economic Development Ministry had refused to implement the plan.
In Azerbaijan, the latest changes in public utilities were made in 2007.
