Greece Shows Interest in Azerbaijan’s Investments

Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Greece is interested in Azerbaijan's investments, which enable the increase of investments out of the country, Heydar Babayev, Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister, said. The possibilities of investment will be discussed during the next meeting.

The document including prospects to develop the joint enterprises in small-scale and mid-scale businesses, as well as investment issues was submitted to the Azerbaijani Government during the meeting with Christos Folias, the Greek Development Minister.

Bank accounts will emerge to expand trade and economic relations. As a result a decision was taken by Azerbaijani Banks Association to improve ties with bank structures of Greece. One of the key issues of discussion was food security. Greece submitted a document on this issue. "We are going to learn the experience of other countries, including Greece, to reinforce the supervision over the consumer market of the country," the Minister said.

The projects of standard inter governmental documents, as well as navigation was submitted to Azerbaijan for consideration.
