Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 May / Trend / From 6 to 16 May, London will be hosting its 84th session of the Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration reported.
The delegation headed by Gudrat Gurbanov, the head of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration, will represent Azerbaijan in the session which will discuss making changes in the international Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea (1974), as well as in other international agreements in this field.
The following issues will also be included in the agenda: arrangements to improve navigation safety; new ship-building standards; distance determination system; transportation of dangerous cargo; fire safety, etc.
