Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 September / Trend corr. S.Babayeva, I.Khalilova / їCement prices in Azerbaijan, which are produced by Garadagh Cement Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC), the only manufacturer of the cement production, rose by 16% as compared to the beginning of 2008, Horia Adrian, said.
їWe raised prices of our production in line with the rise of inflation ratio at the beginning of 2008, he said. Thus our price policy depends on growth rates of inflation ratio in the country.ї
Adrian did not exclude price rise in 2009, as well.
їWe have providers, who demands from us to pay definite means and we adjust prices of our products under inflation ratio level to solve these issues,ї the head of the company said.
Garadagh Cement OJSC has fixed the next release prices since 1 May in 2008:

Garadagh Cement OJSC is the only producer of clinker and cement on its base in Azerbaijan. The plat was privatized in 1999 and at present control package of its shares belongs to the Swiss Holcim Group.
The plant produced 1.34mln tons of cement in 2007. їThe same amount of production is forecasted in 2008 and 2009,ї Adrian said. Market share of Garadagh Cement amounts to 47% in Azerbaijan.
Annual demand of the country for cement makes up 4mln tons.
