The volume of commercial production in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) exceeded 164.4 million manat in 2008 - a 26.7-percent increase from 2007, NAR's permanent representation in Baku said.
A total of 79.4 percent fell to production and 20.6 percent to rendered services in commercial production.
The extractive industry composes commercial production (0.3 percent), manufacturing (82.4 percent) and power engineering and water (17.3 percent).
On Feb. 6, the official exchange rate is 0.808 manat to $1.
