Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Feb.11 / Trend corr E. Hasanov / A Shopping Center of Turkmenistan will open in Moscow during Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammadov's official visit to Russia to be held in March, an official Turkmen source reports.
At the latest meeting of the Turkmen government the President stressed the importance of extending presence in "capacious Russian market". A trade exhibition of Turkmen textiles, carpets and jewelries will be held in this connection.
Berdimuhammadov ordered to provide high organization of the Turkmen exhibition in Moscow, underlining a strategic feature of Turkmen-Russian relations. The top level negotiations will be a new milestone in development of bilateral relations.
A business forum will be held within the visit. Russian companies recently offered about 60 joint economical projects to Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
In 2008, the trade turnover between the two countries comprised roughly $6.9 million. The basis of the cooperation in the current stage is to export Turkmen natural gas to Russian company Gazprom.
