Demand rises in car market of Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.18 / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / Demand in car market of Baku rose by 0.6 percent in January, spokesman of public organization "Participants of property market" Parviz Rahimoglu said on Feb.18.

"Orders reduced by 4.5 percent in the market in January," Rahimoglu said. 

According to the spokesman, as a result, average costs downed by 5 percent or to17, 500 manats. 

In January, car exposition term comprised 79 days which means that about 63 percent of cars were offered earlier and 36 percent of them were new cars.  

Rahimoglu said it's early to make forecasts. As many as 83,000 cars were imported to the country in 2007. This figure was forecasted to hit 100,000 but this forecast failed due to the world financial crisis.

"Price-cutting and passiveness of the car market will continue till summer," Rahimoglu said.
