Average prices on building materials fell 3.3 percent in Baku in Feb., Participants of the Estate Market public organization said. Prices fell 35.9 percent compared to Feb. 2008.
The public organization held a monitoring on 85 types of building materials in Feb. Prices of 51 types dropped and 31 remained unchanged.
Home-produced building materials accounted for 51.8 percent of the market in Feb. It led to a slight fall in prices.
The prices on channels fell 5.4 percent, iron layers 9.7 percent, glass 12 percent, wood 2.5 percent, nails 16.3 percent and zinc layers 2.2 percent. The prices on laminated parquet increased 6.5 percent, glue for Dutch tile and flooring tile 1.2 percent.
