Nominal Effective Rate (NER) of manat increased by 6 percent in gross trade turnover, in the export - 4.8 percent and import - by 7.4 percent in January-April 2009, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said on June 10.
According to NBA, the NER on non-oil sector in the gross trade turnover increased by 9.3 percent, import - 11.6 percent, but in the export - by 8.7 percent in this period compared to the same period of 2008.
The NER of AZN in foreign trade (taking into account the oil sector) upped by 6.2 percent, in import - by 19.7 percent, but it was decreased by 2.7 percent in export in January-February 2009 compared to December 2008. In non oil sector, NER of AZN increased in general trade by 28 percent, in import - 25.3 percent and export by 43.8 percent.
On June 10, the official exchange rate is 0.8037 manat to $1.
