The amount of work by all construction companies in Azerbaijan in January-May grew 1.8 percent to 1071.4 million manat as compared to the same period of the last year, State Statistics Committee reported.
Of the total construction works, 723.2 million manat (67.5 percent) fell on primary works, re-construction and expansion; 207.6 million manat (19.4 percent) - basic repair work; 69.1 million manats (6.4 percent) - current repair work; 71.5 million manat (6.7 percent) - other construction work.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-April, the average monthly nominal wage of workers in the construction sector amounted to 449.4 manat, in large and medium construction companies - 495.1 manat.
In the first quarter, the expenditure structure of large and medium construction companies included 59.3 percent (282.3 million manat) - construction materials, 11.2 percent (53.5 million manats) - wages, 1.3 percent (5.9 million manat) - amortization of main funds, 2.4 percent (11.5 million manat) - social benefits and costs, 25.8 percent (122.9 millilon manat) - other expenses.
