One of Azerbaijan's giant insurance companies A-Qroup collected 4.73 million manat in January-June 2009 with a 43-percent increase from 2008, the company said on July 17.
Major part of the insurance premiums fell to voluntary medical insurance - 4.49 million manats. In this period, growth of premium on this insurance comprised 66 percent compared to the same period of 2008.
In January-June 2009, A-Qroup paid 1.94 million manats.
A-Qroup insurance company offers services on three obligatory and 14 voluntary type of insurance. As for July 1, the company's authorized capital made up 1.55 million manat.
On July 17, the official exchange rate is 0.8041 manat to $1.
