Azerbaijani government considers bill on realtor activity

The Baku Realtors Associations submitted a bill on realtor activity to the Azerbaijani Parliament, the Association's President Vafadar Akhundov said.
A bill provides increasing quality of realtor activity and its right forming in Azerbaijan, Akhundov said
Under the bill, persons who intend to engage in realtor activities should be trained in this field and attend relevant courses and training, Akhundov added.
The founders of the Baku Realtors Association are MBA Group, real estate companies New Europe and Baki Emlak. In October 2008 the Association was registered at the Azerbaijani Justice Ministry. At present the association has 80 members. The association membership fee is 100 manat.
The Association's main tasks are to outline standards for the operation of real estate activities in Azerbaijan, to establish a center for specialized training, and to introduce a Realtors system of certification.
