Baku Steel Company LLC (BSC) - the largest metallurgical enterprise in Azerbaijan, which has been functioning on the market since 1998 and started production in May 2001, re-passed state registration through the "single window", according to the official website of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan.
The company was registered with an authorized capital of 36 million manat. The official representative of the Baku Steel Company is Axel Borowski, who assumed the post of president of the company in March 2009. In 2004-2007 he served as first vice-president of Baku Steel Company.
The Baku Steel Company Limited şirkəti remains the founder, a source in the company said on August 24. The company was registered at the Ministry of Taxes on August 7, 2009.
Production capacity of BSC is 350,000 tons annually. Since last year, the company has repeatedly suspended activities due to lack of scrap metal. The plant receives only 200-500 tons of raw material per day, while 1,500 tons are necessary for the normal production process. The reason is reduction in the price for scrap metal purchased by the company.
The new management of the company has promised to begin a strengthened policy on the collection of scrap metal, which involved the acquisition of raw materials from official dealers.
