The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has begun to impose fines (200-1,000 manat) on public vehicle (bus), stopped in a wrong place. Notification by the Transport Ministry is hung in many buses.
The Transport Ministry confirmed the information to Trend about the decision to implement measures against drivers of public transport, failing to observe traffic rules, but the exact amount of fines was not divulged.
The Baku City Transport Department of the Transport Ministry told Trend that so far, the staff of the ministry has taken measures against the drivers, not observing the rules of conveyance. In particular, the drivers were removed from the buses. However, the department said often stop of busses in the wrong place is caused by the passengers, demanding a driver to stop the vehicle.
