Georgian Coast Guard detains Hong Kong tanker

The Coast Guard of Georgia detains a tanker floating under the flag of Hong Kong due to polluting the marine waters of the Batumi port, said the Border Police of Georgia. The Tanker OVERSEAS SEXTANS was detained together with officers of Inspection of the Black Sea Protection Convention.
The fact is under the administrative paperwork.
In accordance with the Administrative Code of Georgia (art. 582), the Hong Kong tanker must pay a fine worth 65,000 lari (about $40,000) to the Public Budget.
