The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry conducted laboratory studies of various kinds of oils sold on some Baku markets, the ministry reported.
The service revealed 'Xüsusi yağ' branded oil, produced by 'Fazil' company in 10-kilogram packages, did not coincide the physicochemical composition specified on the label. Fazil specializes the production of milk and dairy products
The Service took samples from the final product, packaged in 10 and 20-kilogram packages and sent them to the laboratory for testing. Laboratory studies confirmed the initial results, revealing that the richness of the product is lower 4.1 percent than that indicated on the label. The damp mass exceeded the norm by 5.9 percent. The service also identified a taste of the products was not related to dairy products
The State Service suspended the sale of 24.9 tons of finished products, which is stored in its warehouse. The Service holds studies to identify compliance with microbiological requirements of normative documents, and the composition of products approved by the recipe
