Over 2.2bn manat invested in Azerbaijan's economy

Nearly 2291.3mln manat was invested in the economy of Azerbaijan in January-April 2010, an increase of 5.5% from the figures of the previous year.

Investments for repair and construction works made up 69.2%, totaling 1585.7 million manat. Investment for the construction of production facilities totaled 1152.6 million manat, while non-production facilities totaled 1138.7 million manat.

Foreign investments with special weight of 22.9 percent amounted to 525 million manat, increasing by 37.9 percent as compared to the same period of the last year. The special weight of internal investments made up 77.1 percent.

Investments in the oil sector made up 27.9 percent of capital investments to country's economy (754.6 million manat), non-oil sector - 72.1 percent (1536.7 million manat).

About 771.6 manat was invested in the construction of facilities financed by the public budget.

Major sources of investing in January-April 2010 were funds of enterprises and organizations (1199.9mln manat with special weight of 52.4%), budget funds (812.5mln manat, 35.5%), non-budgetary funds (128.6mln manat, 5.6%), bank credits (80.5mln manat, 3.5%) and community funds (69.4mln, 3%).
