CJSC Production Association Azerbaijan salt, founded by Azersun Holding and Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC), will be fully commissioned in late summer, executive director of AIC Afgan Isayev said.
"The plant has already started its activities in test mode" Isayev said.
Azersun Holding public relations and social projects department head Afig Safarov said that now there is an active process of spreading salt under the brand Azerduz in all shopping centers in the country. He said that after domestic demand is covered (it will take several weeks), the plant will begin exporting its goods at the first stage of the CIS markets, and in the future to other countries.
Daily power plant today is 100 tons. But that figure will increase to 300 tons soon.
Today 16 million manat has been invested in the construction of the plant. Another four million manat will be invested. About 25 percent of the total investments fall to the Azerbaijan Investment Company, the remaining funds are invested by Asersun Holding.
