Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 6 / Trend /

Azerbaijan's annual programme of Autumn exhibitions will get underway in September. The exhibitions, organised by Iteca Caspian, part of the ITE Group, will cover 12 sectors.

This is a particularly special season for the exhibition industry, as all exhibitions in the capital will be held at the Baku Expo Center, Baku's new world class exhibition complex. This move is significant for the new venue, which is ideal for hosting events. The exhibitions' continued success is also ensured as the events are officially supported by the Government,  Iteca Caspian reported.

The Autumn season will kick off with a series of regional exhibitions. The 3rd Azerbaijan Regional Ganja Infrastructure Exhibition will take place on 21-23 September in Ganja. This exhibition is endorsed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Executive Power of Ganja, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Association of Entrepreneurs of Ganja. Emphasis will be placed on products and services in the agricultural sector, food industry, construction and banking. The exhibition will feature a number of plants that are new to Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, the capital will see the opening of several almost simultaneous exhibitions. The annual Baku International Healthcare Exhibition (BIHE), which will be held on 22-24 September, is officially supported by the Ministry of Health of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Azerbaijan Stomatological Association and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Azerbaijan Republic. More than 100 companies from 15 countries are expected to participate. Newcomers will include the Bavarian National Group, which is participating with the support of the Bavarian Economy, Transport and Technology Ministry. The stand will comprise German companies displaying modern medical equipment and disinfectants. A broad range of medicinal products will be presented by major pharmaceutical companies from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, as well as other countries.

Held alongside BIHE is the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Stomatology Exhibition, which will feature dental equipment, consumables, etc. Online mini-operations will also be demonstrated. In addition to the Stomatology exhibition, the 16th International Scientific and Practical Conference will take place with the support of the Azerbaijan Stomatological Association. The conference, this year's main event for the dental industry, will be held under the theme "Current issues for dentistry in the light of global development". Speakers will include local and international experts.

The third exhibition, held concurrently with BIHE and Stomatology is the 4th Azerbaijan International Beauty and Aesthetic Medicine Exhibition. This year, Beauty Azerbaijan exhibitors will present skincare products from leading European manufacturers. Exhibitors will also hold training and master classes on the proper use of cosmetics and mesotherapy. For the first time, there will be a conference on aesthetic medicine, the main theme of which will be skincare procedures.

One of the main events for educational services, occupational guidance and youth employment is the 4th Azerbaijan International Education and Career Exhibition (supported by the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Youth and Sports), which will be held in Baku on 7-9 October. More than 90 educational institutions and organisations from Azerbaijan, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Spain, Canada, Latvia, UAE, Russia, Turkey, US and other countries will promote their services and a distinctive feature of this year's exhibition will be the participation of various national educational institutions. For the first time, a group of Turkish universities will take part, consisting of 14 schools, including the University of Economics in Izmir, Istanbul Culinary University, the Art Academy, as well as other prestigious Turkish universities. The Korean group stand will include more than 10 Korean universities, specialising mainly in ICT and engineering. The exhibition registration area will be sponsored by "Study in Korea". The official representative of 30 Russian educational institutions, including well-known universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg will be present at the exhibition. In addition, eight universities and schools in London, Essex, Nottingham, Suffolk, etc will be taking part. Targeted proposals will be offered by specialised schools for hotel management and tourism in Switzerland, which will contribute to the state programme for tourism development and the shortage of personnel in this area. Education in Azerbaijan will be offered by public and private universities both from the capital and other regions. Prospective employers, recruitment agencies and training companies will be participating in the Career Section. The exhibition will be accompanied by workshops and master classes, helping students and young professionals to build careers.

The series of Autumn exhibitions will continue with the International Construction Exhibition, BakuBuild, (the largest exhibition of its kind in the Caspian and Caucasus regions), which will take place on 20-23 October. BakuBuild is supported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers') of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan. This year, the organisers expect more than 250 companies from 15 countries, occupying two halls and the open area within the complex. Regular groups, Germany and Italy will be taking part, as well as Finland and Iran. Lithuania and Ukraine have also voiced their intention to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will be composed of 30% domestic construction companies. BakuBuild covers a wide variety of construction equipment, decorative materials and sanitary ware, as well as road construction equipment. The exhibition will be accompanied by an intensive programme of co-located events, including workshops and presentations. There will also be a round table discussion dedicated to innovative technologies, urban planning and extending the boundaries of Baku.

For the first time, Aqua-Therm Baku, the International Exhibition for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Water Supply, Sanitary and Environmental Technology will be held alongside BakuBuild. Recently, Italian organiser, Fin-mark Srl, became part of the ITE Group, which is a leading exhibition organiser specialising in emerging markets. Fin-mark Srl organises exhibitions such as Aqua-Therm a well-known event for the HVAC industry. For several years, HVAC companies have taken part in BakuBuild. This year, however, Aqua-Therm Baku will be held separately, gathering more than 50 companies from 12 countries such as Azerbaijan, Denmark, Germany, Iran, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, etc.

The 8th International Furniture, Interiors and Design Exhibition, Caspian MebelExpo, will also take place alongside BakuBuild, presenting interior design, wallpaper, home textiles, lighting, mirrors, crystal, etc.

A major event in ICT is the 16th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference, BakuTel, which will be held on 23-26 November, with the support of the Azerbaijan Republic's Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies. This event will feature more than 100 companies from 15 countries. Given the interest of foreign countries to promote their products on the Azerbaijani market, BakuTel plans to host stands from Korea, as well as newcomers such as Belarus, Lithuania and Poland. Due to the Year of Environment in Azerbaijan, the exhibition's theme will be "ICT and Global Climate Change". This will also be the main theme of the ICT Conference, held on the second day of the exhibition (24 November). The conference takes place alongside the exhibition every year and is organised by the Azerbaijan Republic's Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies. During the conference, speakers from leading local and international ICT and telecommunications companies will deliver speeches. The main sponsor of the exhibition this year will be Huawei Technologies.

The 3rd Caspian International Protection, Security and Rescue Exhibition, CIPS, will take place alongside BakuTel. This year's exhibition will differ from previous years by featuring the latest intelligent protection equipment. Exhibitors will include manufacturers of security systems, alarms, developers and producers of ODS (access restriction systems), explosion-proof fire-fighting equipment for fire and fire alarms, etc. The exhibition will also feature presentations and workshops. The exhibition will be held on 24-26 November.

As mentioned above, all exhibitions will be held at the Baku Expo Center and admission will be free of charge. Visitors will also be offered to enjoy convenient transportation to and from the exhibition for free.
