The joint venture of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) - Azeri Fugro (SOCAR-60 percent, Fuqro NV - 40 percent) has completed drilling research wells within the order of the Baku Metro, a source of oil and gas market said on Tuesday.
"The process of drilling wells for the Baku Metro has been completed," said the source.
The source mentioned previously that the contract envisages drilling 38 wells in 30-50 meters deepth. Drilling wells is necessary for research works of the Baku Metro to expand the number of stations. Drilling was carried out in different places of the Absheron Peninsula.
Baku Metro has been functioning since 1967.
