The price of newly built houses rose by 0.4 percent in Kazakhstan in Nov. 2010 compared to the previous month, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.

The price of newly built houses rose by 0.4 percent in Kazakhstan in Nov. 2010 compared to the previous month, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.

"In Nov. 2010, the sales price of new housing rose by 0.4 percent, the resale of decent housing by 0.5 percent, rent by 0.7 percent and resale of deplorable housing by 0.8 percent," the agency reported.

According to the Statistics Agency, the average cost of a new apartment in November was approximately $950 or 140.164 tenge per square meter, which is higher by 1.8 percent than in Nov. 2009.

The average price in the secondary housing market in November was $700 or 103.164 tenge per square.

Rental housing in Kazakhstan is about at $550 or 831 tenge per square meter.
