The Azerbaijani Travel Agencies Association (AZTA) organizes special courses for people wishing to work in the tourism sphere, AZTA head Nahid Bagirov said on Saturday.

"The courses will be organized in the field of "tour managers" and "aviation managers" at the first stage," Bagirov said.

He said the courses will be held within 45 days. The participation fee is 200 manat.
Bagirov said that mainly leaders of leading local tour companies will be engaged in training of specialists. After completing the training specialists will be certified. These certificates will play a certain role in ensuring employment of persons passing the courses.

"After completing the course, the Association will hold a mini-fair for certified specialists during which everyone can choose job," Bagirov said.

As the Azerbaijani Tourism Institute rector Jafar Jafarov said earlier, the country's tourism industry needs educated people who properly understand the existing problems. "Unfortunately, it is reality that now professionals work in the tourism industry in Azerbaijan without tourism education," he said. "It is normal. But having a basic education, and practice is quality and a new level," Jafarov said.
