Prices consumer goods and tariffs for services in April 2011 dropped by 0.3 percent compared to March, but the inflation made up nine percent in January - April compared to the same period of the last year, the State Statistics Committee said Friday.
Food prices in April dropped by 0.7 percent, non-food prices grew by 0.1 percent, while tariffs on services rose 0.1 percent.
Compared to January-April 2010, food prices grew by 3.1 percent and non-food prices - 2.8 percent, while tariffs for services - by 3.7 percent.
In April, the base index of the consumer prices incurring seasonal changes (fruits and vegetable) and being regulated by the Government dropped by 0.4 percent as compared to the previous month, and 6.1 percent to January-April 2010.
