A delegation of the Turkish foreign trade headed by Deputy Minister Ahmet Yakici has held talks with representatives of the Turkmen government in Ashgabat.

According to the report, the representatives of business circles of the friendly country have expressed interest in expanding their presence in the Turkmen market.

The parties stressed the huge potential for increasing bilateral cooperation. They stressed their mutual commitment to enhance mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.

The Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic relations have recently gained the impetus in its development.

Over 100 different agreements on the interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels are the legal basis for partnership.

About 600 companies with the Turkish capital operate on the Turkmen market in such fields as industry, construction, trade and transport. Turkey imports Turkmen electricity through Iran.
