Uzbekistan ups ethyl alcohol production by 1.3 percent in Jan.-June

Uzbekistan increased ethyl alcohol production by 1.3 percent in January-June 2011 compared to the same period of 2010 - up to 2.736 million decalitres, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said.

The production of vodka and liquors in Uzbekistan has increased by 6.5 percent - up to 5.443 million decalitres, brandy - by 25,4 times, up to 41,100 decalitres. The production of beer has increased by 2.2 percent - up to 13.265 million decalitres, the production of champagne remained on the same level as January-June last year - 24,800 decalitres. The production of wine has increased by 6.6 percent - up to 974,000 decalitres.

According to the official statistics, Uzbekistan increased ethyl alcohol production by 7.5 percent in 2010, compared to 2009 - up to 5.509 million decalitres.

The production of vodka and liquors increased by 1.6 percent - up to 9.593 million decalitres, brandy - by 2.2 percent, up to 76.700 decalitres, beer - by 21.1 percent, up to 25.029 million decalitres. The production of wine increased by 1.3 percent - up to 2.128 million decalitres, the production of champagne by 6 percent - up to 123,750 decalitres.
