The Azerbaijani insurance companies' premiums for compulsory insurance and disability as a result of occupational diseases and accidents accounted for 14.84 million manat in January-August 2011, or 2.13 percent more over January-July, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry's report as of the first eight months of the year said.
This type of insurance has been applied in Azerbaijan since December 2010.
The fees increased by 12.3 percent in January-July compared to January-June.
The companies paid 106.59 manat on this type of insurance for the first eight months, or 32.59 percent more compared to January-July.
There are three life insurance companies having licenses to render these services - Atesgah Heyat, Qala Heyat and Pasa Heyat in Azerbaijan.
