Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed the possibility of resuming deliveries of Russian gas via the West corridor through another Turkish company after the expiration of the current contract, Russian Prime Minister's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters, RIA Novosti reported.

"The prime ministers of Russia and Turkey discussed the current issues of cooperation in the energy scheme, including the topic of Russian natural gas supply to Turkey, and exchanged views on prospects for the continuation of supplies of Russian gas through the so-called Western Corridor, taking into account the refusal of one of the Turkish companies to renew the contract after it expires," said Peskov.

He added that the focus was on "the possibility to resume supplies through another Turkish company".
