President Gul thanks Turkmen president for support to Turkish business

President of Turkey Abdullah Gul in a message addressed to his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov expressed gratitude "for the support, favorable conditions and confidence to the Turkish businessmen and investors, whose activities in Turkmenistan are aimed at strengthening the common prosperity".
The letter was timed to the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, celebrated recently.
"Over the last 20 years, Turkmenistan strengthened its independence, completed the process of new revival to a large extent and carried out great reforms. We are proud of successes of brotherly Turkmenistan, who by pursuing neutrality policy every day strengthened its authority in the international community," the letter says.
He also stressed that "cooperation strengthened as a result of mutual visits at high level, progresses rapidly not only in bilateral level, but also in regional and international levels."
According to official Ashgabat, the total amount of contracts signed with the Turkish companies in Turkmenistan only in 2010 amounts to $4.500 billion.
At present, there are more than 600 Turkish companies in Turkmenistan, which have already implemented and continue to implement a number of projects in spheres such as textile industry, construction of housing, medical and cultural centers.
