Bad weather conditions in Azerbaijan have not affected operation of the transport infrastructure (railway and air transport), and all the relevant state agencies entered intensified work regime to improve functioning of roads.
The first snowfall was observed in Baku on Monday morning. Such weather is a result of invasion of cold air masses into Azerbaijani territory.
There are no changes in the schedule of trains in the country, CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" told Trend on Monday.
As Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) told Trend, there are also no changes in the schedule of aircraft dispatch and receipt.
In connection with bad weather conditions police appealed to drivers and pedestrians.
"Drivers should drive at a speed corresponding to the meteorological conditions, and they should be especially careful at night, at the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's State Traffic Police told Trend on Monday.
There are problems in traffic movement in some streets of Baku in connection with bad weather conditions.
As the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend, bad weather conditions have not affected oil and gas operations on offshore and onshore fields.
Bad weather conditions will today prevail in Baku and Absheron Peninsula on Monday.
Rainy weather is expected on Nov.8 in the Absheron Peninsula. The weather will be partly cloudy without falls in the afternoon.
Air temperature will be 0-2 degrees above zero, in the afternoon - 3-5 degrees above zero.
