Kazakhstan to help business to reconstruct bank debts

Kazakh government approved a regulatory and legal framework for subsidization of business to reconstruct their bank debts, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Kairat Kelimbetov said, Kazakh Prime - minister's press-service reported.

This framework is a part of State Post-crisis Recovery Program.

"Sixteen companies confirmed their participation in the Program on Sept. 9, 2011," Kelimbetov said. "A total of 122.7 million tenge out of total 90.8 billion allocated for this year was disbursed by October 1, 2011."

Meanwhile, a list of industrial enterprises representing 11 sectors and 16 regions of Kazakhstan desiring to take part in the Program was formed. The list of potential participants has 161 enterprises.

According to Kelimbetov, 162 projects of the Industrialization map worth 903 billion tenge will be launched by the end of 2011.

The main project for this period are the Moinak HPP on Charyn River, Zhetygen - Korgas railway line, Uzen - state border with Tajikistan railway line, Talgo passenger cars production in Astana, the feed yard for 5,000 heads of cattle with two breeding farms in Akmola region, the project on construction of Koksarai counter-regulator on Syr-Darya River, the sulfuric acid plant in Kyzylorda region.

On Nov 15 the official rate in Kazakhstan was 148.14 tenge per $1.
