Kazakhstan intends to create a system for technological planning to develop technologies which will be in demand for a long time and will not become antiquate in some years, Kazakh Vice Premier and Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev said on Monday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

"We will develop a technology planning system, because high-tech areas require careful planning and forecasting, setting the right objectives and priorities," Issekeshev said at the Forum "Innovative Kazakhstan - a look into the future after 20 years of independence".
"Technologies are becoming obsolete fast, thus we should invest in technologies that have long-term potential," Issekeshev added.

According to Issekeshev, it is impossible to create an immutable system of development innovation management, since the system should adapt to a changing world all the time.

"But we can and should set the principles of functioning of a stable system that will support research, promote the effective implementation of scientific works and technology transfer," Issekeshev added.

For this purpose, Plan of Innovation Development of Kazakhstan by 2030 is under development and will be approved next year.
