Consumer prices and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan increased by 0.1 percent in January 2012 compared to the previous month, inflation stood at 4.8 percent compared to January 2011, State Committee on Statistics told Trend on Thursday.
Food prices in January increased by 0.1 percent, prices for industrial goods and tariffs have not changed.
Food prices increased by 5.7 percent, nonfood goods by 1.3 percent, while tariffs for services increased by 5.5 percent compared to January 2011.
In January 2012, the base index of the consumer prices, calculated excluding goods and services, incurring seasonal changes (fruits and vegetable) and being regulated by the Government haven't changed and increased by 2.8 percent for the year.
