Tajik Energy and Industry Ministry forecasts a 10percent growth in production of light industry in 2012 compared to 2011, Avesta.tj reported on Monday.
The growth is expected due to an increase in textile and clothing industries production, leather and wool processing.
Also the country plans to commission new small textile enterprises in Vakhdat, Istaravshan and Gissar regions.
The enterprises will use local raw materials such as cotton fiber.
Tajikistan put into operation 4 new light industry enterprises in 2011.
