Azerbaijani bank increases deposit portfolio by 40 percent

As of the first quarter of 2012, the Azerbaijani Mugan Bank's deposit portfolio have increased by 39.3 percent and amounted to 92.35 million manat compared to the same period of 2011, the bank told Trend on Monday.

The bank's assets during the reporting period increased by 21 percent and amounted to 248.62 million manat.

The bank's loan portfolio during the reporting period increased by 27.5 percent and amounted to 186.82 million manat, including loans to physical entities - 92.35 million manat (with growth of 32.9 per cent).

The total sum of the bank's expenses for the quarter totaled 6.64 million manat, income - 8.93 million manat, and net profit - 2.29 million manat.

The authorized capital during the reporting period increased by 27.2 percent and hit 28.3 million manat, total capital increased by 29 percent - to 34.25 million manat.

The number of active cards for the period increased by 20 percent and amounted to 8,811 units. The number of ATMs hits 51, and POS-terminals - 96.

MuganBank has been operating since 1992. At present, there are 30 branches and two offices of the bank.

The official exchange rate is 0,7860 AZN/USD on May 7.
