Environment Minister Goga Khachidze and Kvemo Kartli Governor David Kirkitadze have opened a plant to process organic waste in the Georgian town of Marneuli populated by Azerbaijanis. The plant will be the only company in the South Caucasus processing organic waste.
The enterprise and dump occupy an area of one hectare.
Khachidze said fertilizing the soil with organic fertilizers is necessary only once every three years, while mineral fertilizers should be fertilized every year.
The construction started last year and ended recently.
