There are warehouses in Iran hold $30 billion worth of goods waiting to be processed.
That long wait in storage, four months in Iran compared to a month in most countries, adds 12 percent to capital expenditures, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
Those figures were mentioned during a meeting at the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade where officials were discussing how to improve the business environment in Iran.
There are 17 public warehouses in the country and 10 new locations around Tehran ready to standardize and receive goods. This will help reduce storage costs.
