CJSC Azerbaijan Railways will add 20 additional carriages to trains of domestic passenger routes in the days of Ramadan holiday, CJSC said on Thursday.
This year Ramazan holiday in Azerbaijan is celebrated on Aug.19-20, and due to the fact that Aug.19 is Saturday, Aug. 20 and 21 are days-off.
"Additional carriages are connected to domestic passenger routes during public holidays each year. It is necessary in order to cope with increased passenger traffic," the report.
During holidays, CJSC Azerbaijan Railways will operate in intensified work regime.
Last year, the total volume of passenger traffic of CJSC was 3.5 million people.
