Georgia’s foreign trade turnover increases by 18 percent over seven months

Georgia's foreign trade turnover (excluding unorganized trade) amounted to $5.761 billion in January-July, according to preliminary data.

As Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Thursday, it is 18 percent more than in the same period of 2011.

Exports over the first seven months amounted to $1.352 billion (a 14-percent increase) and imports - $4.409 billion (a 19-percent).

Negative balance of trade turnover amounted to $3.057 billion, or 53 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
