Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedow met with the President of VINCI Construction Grands Projets Alain Bonneau and the President of the Bouygues Group Martin Bouygues, an official Turkmen source stated.

Duriing the meetings, there were discussions on the volume of conducted work and the prospects of cooperation. In particular, Bonneau reported the progress of the projects assigned to the company, ensuring that it will strictly follow the undertaken obligations of the partnership. In addition, the businessman expressed willingness to participate in the implementation of new joint projects.

During a meeting with the head of Bouygues, the Turkmen leader invited him to take part in an international tender on the construction of the capital Congress Hall and a 3000 seat concert hall.

The head of state noted that "the ultra-modern complex has to be equipped with the latest equipment and meet the highest standards, also in terms of acoustics and its architectural view must reflect the best traditions of national architecture."

Bouygues, in turn, introduced a number of new projects to Berdimuhmedow.

The Turkmen President made a number of comments and suggestions regarding the projects, noting that innovative architecture, engineering and technical ideas, advanced technology and advanced design have to be involved in the new projects.

Bouygues has long been represented in the Turkmen market. The French company implemented a number of projects with the total value of over two billion U.S. dollars, by some estimates. Last year, the company received new orders for the construction of three administrative centres in the business area of the capital and a five-star hotel. These buildings are planned to be commissioned in the second half of 2013.

Last year VINCI signed a major contract on the construction of a government building in Ashgabat with the total area of 54,000 square metres. The commission of the building is scheduled for December 2013. Prior to that, the company has built a 3D-cinema in Ashgabat.
