Kazakh Temirbank sharply ups profit in Jan-Sep

Kazakhstan's Temirbank increased net profit to 2.797 billion tenge (150.66 tenge = $1) in January-September 2012 compared to 632 million tenge in the same period of 2011, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported referring to the bank's statement.

The bank's assets in the reporting period increased by 5.8 percent to 270.9 billion tenge, the loan portfolio rose by 12 percent to 198.3 billion tenge.

The bank's liabilities increased by 6 percent to 203.6 billion tenge as of October 1compared to January 1.
The bank's own capital in January-September increased by 4.8 percent to 59.7 billion tenge.

Kazakh Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna is Temirbank's main shareholder.
