The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) held a seminar on the rules of international commercial arbitration in Ashgabat with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen government said on Tuesday.
"Experts familiarized the participants with the applicable standards of international commercial arbitration, rules for registration of international business transactions and possible solutions for the issues arising between parties to a business contract," the statement said.
The event was attended by experts from various ministries and departments of Turkmenistan.
A collection of materials, including the provisions of international conventions and the various national laws, regulations, guidelines, standard clauses and other international arbitration institutions was published.
