Silk Road countries agree to facilitate and promote trade

Around 22 percent of the total volume of the world trade turnover worth $ 30 trillion fall to the Silk Road countries, Turkish Minister of Trade and Customs Hayati Yazici said at the fifth forum "Role of customs governance in facilitating and developing trade between Silk Road countries" in Istanbul on Nov. 29 -30.

Around 22 percent of the total volume of the world trade turnover worth $ 30 trillion fall to the Silk Road countries, Turkish Minister of Trade and Customs Hayati Yazici said at the fifth forum "Role of customs governance in facilitating and developing trade between Silk Road countries" in Istanbul on Nov. 29 -30.

He said that the volume of trade between the countries of the Silk Road has quadrupled for the past ten years.

Yazici stressed that Asia will be the center of economy in the future again.

Heads of Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian, Kazakh and Kyrgyz customs services signed a letter of intent following the forum to promote and facilitate trade between the Silk Road countries.
