The German government plans to allocate 137 million euros for various projects in Azerbaijan in the coming years. This was stated in the report of Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry published on Monday.

On Monday, the governments of Azerbaijan and Germany held talks in the framework of the cooperation policy for development. A protocol was signed as a result of the meeting.

Administration Samir Valiyev, the German delegation was led by the deputy head of the Federal Ministry Department for Economic Cooperation and Development in South-Eastern, Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Jochen Bohmer.

During the talks, the sides discussed the future directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the German Development Bank (KfW) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in the fields of water supply, environment, renewable energy, justice, small and medium business, education and public administration.

Azerbaijan and Germany have been leading negotiations on cooperation policy for development since 1995. To date, in the framework of financial cooperation Germany has provided loans in the amount of 133.4 million euros and 44.9 million euros in technical assistance grants to Azerbaijan.
