Non-bank deposits in Georgia reach 7.7 billion lari by Feb. 1

The volume of non-bank deposits reached 7.7 billion lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari) as of February 1, 2013, which is by 21.9 million lari or 0.3 percent more than in the previous month.

During the reporting period, the growth of demand deposits was witnessed by 40.9 million lari or 1.3 percent, and reduction in time deposits - by 19.1 million or 0.4 percent.
Dollarization ratio of deposits as of February 1, was 64.21 percent, or 0.13 percent more than by January 1.

The weighted average annual interest rate on time deposits was 8.6 percent, including in national currency - 11.4 percent, and in foreign currency - 7.7 percent.

The dollar's share in deposits held in foreign currencies amounted to 79.8 percent, while in Euro - 18.0 percent.
