Turkey's revenues from the taxation of transport facilities and the use of roads and bridges in 2012 amounted to 43.7 billion lira, Anadolu agency reported on Friday with reference to the Directorate of Automobile Roads of Turkey.

According to the Directorate, this amount includes the payment of a special tax on fuel consumption, a value added tax on fuel, a tax on motor vehicles, as well as the tax on the use of roads and bridges.

Revenues from the taxation of motor vehicles in 2012 was comprised of 8.4 billion liras, fuel consumption taxes - 21 billion liras, the value added tax - 7.6 billion liras, and the tax on motor vehicles - 6.7 billion liras.

Tax revenues from fuel consumption, as well as the road and bridge users constituted 13.6 percent of the total tax revenues in Turkey in 2012.

The official exchange rate for April 26 is 1.7965 TL / USD.
