In January-April 2013, Turkmenistan's state budget exceeded its goals by 115.7 percent and expenditures by 95.5 percent, according to the country's Ministry of Finance.

According to the report, the plan for this reporting period is to pay all types of taxes to the state budget was met in full. Wages, welfare payments, pensions and stipends were paid in full, the message said.

During the reporting period, there is also an increase in the volumes of investments from all sources of funding. Currently, some 1,800 properties are being built the country with a total value of over $ 40 billion.

The Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan has approved the state budget for the current year, which provides for revenues of 86,335.8 million manat and 89735.8 million manat of expenditures. In recent years, the official rate of the manat to one dollar has remained at 2.85 Turkmen manat.

Revenue will be generated by the oil and gas, chemical, power generation and construction industries. The budget also provides for the ongoing development of agricultural industry, transport, telecommunications, textile and food industries.

It is expected that revenues will continue to grow through the further development and support of activities of non-state enterprises.

A significant increase in allocations for the construction of new facilities at the Avaz national tourist zone, construction of social and cultural facilities, industry, transport and communication infrastructure in the capital and regions of the country has also been provided for in Turkmenistan.
