Annual deflation reaches 0.1 per cent in Georgia in May

Annual deflation was 0.1 present in Georgia in May 2013 compared to 1.7 per cent in April, the Georgian Statistics Agency told Trend on Monday.

The inflation rate was 0.7 per cent in May 2013 compared to the previous month.

According to the Georgian Statistics Agency, the price on food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.4 per cent in the country in May compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to the data, prices on fuels and lubricants fell by 11 per cent in May.

Prices increased by 3.7 per cent and 3.1 per cent, respectively in the group of health care services, hotels and restaurants.
