The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus is $10 million and the level of economic cooperation reached by the countries enabled them to move from trade relations to cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei said in Baku on Tuesday.
"Today Azerbaijan is one of Belarus's most important trade and economic partners in the CIS zone. Negotiations on new areas of cooperation and projects were carried out with the Azerbaijani government," the minister said.
According to him, projects of documents which can be prepared for the forthcoming visit of President of Belarus to Azerbaijan were also discussed.
"We are talking about the signing of new agreements that will allow bringing cooperation between the two countries up to a higher level," Makei said.
